My services can be provided either at my HOME OFFICE (call first please),
or ON-SITE at your premises with a small (local) call-out fee.
HOME OFFICE: $50 per hour.
Half-hour minimum charge, then additional time will be charged in half-hour blocks of $25.

PC HARDWARE UPGRADES
Get the most out of your PC. The right upgrades can make all the difference.
Many computers have the potential to be upgraded, some have full upgrade potential while others are somewhat limited.
The viability of upgrading is largely determined by the computers form factor, age and brand.
Upgrade options include; Memory (RAM), Storage (HDD/SSD/NVMe), Graphics Card (GPU), Power Supply (PSU), Processor (CPU), Networking adapters.
Memory or RAM (Random Access Memory) is used to store running programs and data for the programs.
Insufficient memory can cause stuttering, freezing, crashes and poor overall system performance.
Storage, HDD (Hard Disk Drive) or SSD (Solid State Drive) are used to store the operating system, programs and data.
Upgrading from a HDD to SSD will significantly improve system performance for reduced startup and shutdown times, faster program loading and snappy responsiveness.
Graphics Card or GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) handles 2D and 3D graphics processing, then outputs to a display device.
This upgrade is primarily for better gaming performance, increased frames per second and higher image quality.
Power Supply or PSU (Power Supply Unit) decreases mains power voltage and converts current from AC to DC which powers your components.
Poor quality or underrated power supplies can cause system instabilities, crashing, shutdowns or in worst cases even cause damage.
Processor or CPU (Central Processing Unit) acts as the computer's brain, running programs and sending and receiving signals to attached devices.
If you currently have an entry level or mid range processor, a higher end CPU of the same generation could boost performance dramatically.
Networking adapters are used for transmitting and receiving data over a network which allows computers and devices to communicate with each other.
Upgrading to newer WiFi hardware can resolve speed and dropout issues.

PC COOLING UPGRADES
Reduce temperatures and noise, increase system performance and reliability.
Aftermarket CPU cooling options offer superior thermal performance at lower noise levels than stock standard Intel/AMD coolers.

Add additional system fans or replace existing ones with high quality fans for better airflow or reduced noise.
​
Replacement of old thermal paste with high grade thermal paste to reduce temperatures of the CPU or GPU.
PC HARDWARE REPAIRS
Diagnosis and replacement of faulty parts to get your computer up and running again.
PC not turning on, no display signal, disk boot failure, blue/black screen of death, frequent crashing, slowdowns, strange noises or overheating, are signs of hardware faults.
I will isolate the faulty part or parts through testing procedures. Then I'll provide options for replacement parts and labour.
If replacement parts need to be ordered and the repair completed on a follow up visit, there will be no additional call out fees.
PC HARDWARE TRANSPLANT
Update the design and features of your existing PC with a new case.
A great way to change the size, colour and style of your existing PC, making it look like new again.
Internal parts wil be removed and cleaned, then re-installed into a new PC case. The computer system will be fully cable managed and tested to insure it looks good and that everything is working properly.
DRIVE SALVAGE
Removal of the physical storage drive from a non-working computer.
Computer stopped working and wondering if you have lost your data?

Well, it's possible that your data is still okay. I will remove your drive and try accessing the data from another computer. In many cases this is successful and no data will be lost.
I can install the drive into an external enclosure to use with another computer.
There are many reasons why computers stop working, luckily not every problem results in the loss of data, even if the computer no longer turns on.
OPERATING SYSTEM UPGRADES
Keep up to date, enjoy new features and get increased security.
Upgrade or "clean install" options. Data will be backed up to ensure there is no loss of important files or photos.

DATA BACKUP AND TRANSFERS
Prevent data loss by keeping your important files and photos safely backed up.
It's usually just a matter of time before a storage drive will fail. If you're unlucky, it will be when you don't have it backed up.
I can manually backup and transfer your data to another drive, external storage or to cloud storage.
I can also set up automatic backup solutions for Windows / Mac
TROUBLESHOOTING
No idea what's causing you problems, no worries, leave it to me.
I'll take a look at your PC to determine what is wrong with it.

If your computer requires the purchase of software and or parts in order to fix it, I will quote a repair cost including labour.
My "No fix no pay troubleshooting guarantee" means that if I can't or don't fix the problem you don't need to pay for the troubleshooting. A small $20 call-out fees would still apply if on-site.
